Digital workers for ERP, HR and payroll

Few things determine the value of an ERP, HR or payroll system as much as what happens after go-live. That's why Boss Info and MR.KNOW follow one principle: don't just choose the right software – get the right digital workers along with it.

Invoice intake without retyping

Incoming invoices arrive as PDFs, e-invoices, by email or on paper. A digital worker reads them, matches them against purchase order and goods receipt, assigns accounts according to your rules and starts the approval – right inside bossERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle NetSuite or JD Edwards.

It doesn't replace the ERP – it's the layer above it: the worker decides what may pass automatically, who needs to check, and when a human takes over.

Master data and orders under control

Maintaining item, customer and supplier master data, spotting duplicates, monitoring orders and delivery dates, following up on open items: work that comes up every day and requires no real decision – just diligence.

Digital workers handle it around the clock and in consistent quality. Anything ambiguous lands with the responsible person as a clarification case – with all documents already attached.

HR: onboarding and offboarding without friction

A new joiner means accounts, permissions, equipment, training – spread across HR, IT and the business. A digital worker runs the checklist, triggers each task in the right system and follows up on anything missing by itself.

Offboarding gets the same diligence in reverse: revoking access, collecting returns, producing documents – fully documented and auditable.

Payroll: clean input for every pay run

Before each pay run with bossSalary or SwissSalary, a digital worker collects the changes – joiners and leavers, absences, allowances –, checks them for plausibility and hands them over to payroll in full.

Certificates and recurring statements are produced automatically; special cases go to the HR team with all records attached.

Documents and workflows

Contracts, records and personnel files are filed AI-assisted in the right place in document management; approval and release paths run as modelled BPMN 2.0 processes – across Microsoft 365 and the digital workplace.

Every step is versioned, every rule documented, every case explainable afterwards – GDPR-compliant and multi-tenant.

Software plus digital workers from day one

Boss Info selects the right system, implements and operates it; MR.KNOW provides the digital colleagues that take over the routine from go-live. Your SME doesn't start with an empty system, but with trained digital workers.

Frequently asked questions

The essentials about digital workers and the potential analysis.

What is a digital worker?

A digital worker is neither a chatbot nor a single script, but a modelled process: it recognises a situation, decides based on rules, executes, produces documents and escalates to a human where needed. MR.KNOW distinguishes three levels — Digital Assistant (rule-based on BPMN 2.0), Digital Agent (AI-powered, also handles unstructured data) and Digital Worker (autonomous AI orchestration across system boundaries).

What happens during the potential analysis?

You upload a job description, job ad or specification sheet as a PDF, or enter the text directly. Tasks, workflows and the achievable degree of automation are analysed; you receive the assessment by email, usually within a few minutes. The analysis is free and without obligation.

How long does the introduction take?

A phased approach has proven itself: a compact discovery workshop, from it a working pilot for one concrete use case, then the rollout to further sites or tenants. The first productive use case takes weeks rather than months, because it builds on a platform that already exists.

Do digital workers pay off?

The benefit is twofold: manual effort drops, and so do error rates and lead times. What decides the business case is reuse — most of the effort goes once into the base of data connectivity, extraction and the rule and document engine. Every further digital worker is largely configuration and therefore costs a fraction of the first one.

What about data protection and traceability?

Processes are documented and versioned, prompts are managed in a vault, and the AI models are interchangeable — there is no vendor lock-in. Operation is GDPR-compliant and multi-tenant, either as a highly secure SaaS cloud or on-premise in your own data centre. Decisions therefore remain verifiable, which is an advantage in audited environments.

Do existing systems have to be replaced?

No. The BPMN 2.0 orchestration sits above your existing systems and integrates ERP, CRM, HR systems or specialist applications via open standards, APIs and connectors instead of competing with them. That protects existing investments, regardless of how individual vendors evolve.

Do digital workers replace employees?

No. Digital workers take on the recurring routine share that ties up experienced staff — around the clock and without fluctuations in quality. They close gaps caused by the skills shortage rather than cutting jobs.

What is Boss Info's role?

Boss Info contributes over 20 years of experience as an independent Swiss ICT provider and on-site support; MR.KNOW contributes the no-code BPM platform, the digital workers and their operation. Technology and domain knowledge combine into a finished solution rather than yet another toolbox.
